(Chicago, USA, April 2017)

The Global Doctors' Hippocratic Institute is opening new horizons in the training of scientists around the world, according to the data presented at the two-day conference on Health Tourism in Greece, organized by the Athens Medical Association in Chicago, USA. The works of the conference on the second day closed with a press conference given to the Greek and American Media by the Governor of Attica and President of the Global Doctors' Hippocratic Institute, George Patoulis and the former Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Panagiotis Kouroumblis, who stressed the need for institutional interventions to support health tourism in our country.

In particular, Mr. Patoulis described insular Greece as an "above-ground oil well" of our country and stressed that the medical world and the local government join forces and will contribute to the effort for our islands, to play a central role in health tourism. Then he presented the action of the Global Doctors' Hippocratic Institute, in the field of education, emphasizing characteristics:

"The Global Doctors' Hippocratic Institute aims to universal prominence of the Hippocratic Medical Science and Medical Thought, as well as the interconnection of the Greek and international medical scientific potential under one common roof. The unification of the forces of Greek scientists will play an important role in the field of education and the promotion of science. Our goal is -on the one hand- to make Greece a cradle of education, attracting scientists from all over the world and on the other hand, to give opportunities to young scientists who want to be trained in the largest medical centers in the world, where Greek doctors excel. We unite Greek scientists around the world and build bridges of science".
