The President of the Global Hippocratic Institute of Physicians and the Athens Medical Association, Dr. George Patoulis, had the pleasure of meeting with the Secretary General for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy, Ms. Maira Myrogianni.
During the meeting, the focus was on the General Secretariat’s support for the “Hippocratic Week – Hippocratic School” program. This initiative, a significant undertaking of the Global Hippocratic Institute of Physicians, aims to disseminate the principles and values of Hippocratic medicine to the new generations of physicians on both a national and international level.
The discussions also delved into the Institute’s international actions and strategic initiatives, with the goal of promoting Hippocratic philosophy and Greece’s medical cultural heritage globally. Particular emphasis was placed on the educational and cultural activities implemented by the Institute to instill the values of Hippocrates in young medical scientists, both in Greece and among the diaspora. Special reference was made to Dr. Patoulis’s initiative to connect all overseas medical associations, thereby enhancing international collaboration and fostering national cohesion within the global Greek medical community.
In light of Dr. Patoulis’s activities as President of the Greek Health Tourism Council – Elitour, special mention was made of the promotion of the Medical Visa. This strategic initiative aims to bolster medical tourism and is an integral part of the actions undertaken by the Global Hippocratic Institute of Physicians.
The meeting was also attended by the First Vice President of the Global Hippocratic Institute of Physicians, Dr. Konstantinos Pantos, and the Director of Elitour, Mr. Panagiotis Andreadis.
