The Hippocratic Medical Symposium, organized by the Hellenic Medical Society of New York with the participation of the Athens Medical Association and the Global Doctors\u2019 Hippocratic Institute<\/strong>, was held with notable success and high scientific prestige in the heart of Manhattan, New York. The symposium focused on innovation in the fields of cardiology and angiology, highlighting contemporary scientific developments, technological applications, and prospects for future therapies.<\/p>

During the proceedings, distinguished Greek physicians excelling abroad delivered significant presentations, contributing substantially to scientific dialogue and the exchange of knowledge. Particularly noteworthy was the presence of the President of the Medical Society of New York, Mr. A. Gasparis<\/strong>, Professor of Cardiology Mr. G. Dagkas<\/strong>, the Society\u2019s Secretary General Ms. S. Douros<\/strong>, Dr. S. Mezitis<\/strong>, as well as numerous eminent scientists.<\/p>

Within the framework of the symposium, a particularly moving thematic session dedicated to the Hippocratic Oath stood out, underscoring the timeless value of medical ethics. The President of the Athens Medical Association and of the Global Doctors\u2019 Hippocratic Institute, Dr. George Patoulis<\/strong>, in the context of the Hippocratic Week \u2013 Hippocratic School<\/strong> held in the United States, with the participation of students from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Medical School of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Thessaly, the European University of Cyprus, and the University of Cyprus<\/strong>, administered the original Hippocratic Oath to a large number of physicians and medical students from Greece, Cyprus, and the United States.<\/p>

The oath was read in English by Dr. V. Polydorou<\/strong>, Lecturer at the Medical School of the European University of Cyprus. The Vice President of the Global Doctors\u2019 Hippocratic Institute, Dr. K. Pantos<\/strong>, presented the Institute\u2019s activities and mission, in the presence of its Secretary General, Dr. A. Polydorou<\/strong>.<\/p>

The symposium highlighted the dynamic international presence of the Greek medical community, as well as the importance of continuous scientific advancement guided by the principles and values of the Hippocratic medical tradition. The participation of the Hippocratic School, with students from universities in Greece and Cyprus, conveyed a strong message regarding the timelessness of the values of medical science. Furthermore, it emphasized the importance of educating young physicians not only in terms of knowledge and skills but also in terms of ethics, responsibility, and a human-centered approach to medical practice.<\/p>
